What a beautiful day it turned out to be despite the weather predictions for bone chilling temperatures along with a wind chill factor. We started out with 13 hardy souls and instead of losing hikers; we gained 2 hikers at the Turkey Point Lighthouse. Low tide was on schedule so no one got wet feet along the beach approaching the point. Wild life was abundant. The group chased a flock of blue birds down the beach, spotted 10 swans swimming with a flock of Canadian Geese out on the river and several pairs of Bald Eagles flew overhead in different sections of the park.
