DE Greenways Hike to Brandywine Creek St. Park

Sunday, March 21, 1:30-3:30 PM.  Meet at Delaware Greenways' office, 1910 Rockland Road.

Walk from Wilmington's northern suburbs to Brandywine Creek State Park.  Bring binoculars and join Family Trail Day friends on the first day of spring for an interesting walk and springtime birding.

This walk will explore a little known offshoot of the Northern Delaware Greenway Trail that is a connector for many north Wilmington neighborhoods to historic Rockland Historic district, the west bank of Brandywine River and Brandywine Creek State Park.  The trail skirts DuPont Country Club incorporating neighborhood side walks, natural areas, paved trail, and woodland natural trails.

This hike is recommended for individuals and families with children of moderate to high stamina, those with children in backpacks, and for persons with the ability to navigate moderate slopes.

Visit www.delawaregreenways.org for more information about tours, programs, volunteer opportunities and healthy lifestyles.
