Although it looks like the weather won't be nearly as enervating for the Thursday hike, there are some options to take in shortening it if need be without lessening the more interesting aspects. It has been two years since I led this hike into areas not seen by the general public and I have added two interesting segments that were never on the previous hikes. One replaces a slightly longer earlier one and another is an addition along the ridge in the area. I earlier listed 3-4 miles, because there are other intriguing other trails that might some day be included, but I am at a loss as to how to do it without the backtracking that I loathe. However, what we are looking at is just a little over three, so hopefully we can see them all.

Lke previous hikes here, this one meets where there is plenty of parking and car pools nearby to where there is little parking, though I neglected to mention that in the Bulletin. What follows is a more or less circular hike, followed by a return to the parking lot.
