Re: AW Affiliate membership

For those who don't know, American Whitewater is much more than a website with a listing of rivers (although they do a great job at that).

American Whitewater is the biggest and most effective protector of Paddlers' rights in this country.  They defend our rights to paddle rivers accross the country, they fight new Dam creation (which oftern ruins paddling opportunities on a river), and they obtain concessions on existing dams during relicensing, such as improved water access, and better flow rates.  They also champion dam removal where possible (mainly old & abandoned dams).

If you enjoy paddling, and want to make sure we, and future generations enjoy the same or better access to rivers, please support and join American Whitewater!
