Volunteers needed for the Paddlers’ Board
Last year we formed the Paddlers’ Board to help distribute the decision making and administrative tasks for the Paddlers Section. It’s time to assemble a new Board. So that new people can be involved and veterans don’t end up repeating their jobs indefinitely, we’re opening up all positions for volunteers each year. Incumbents are urged to volunteer for their old position if they want it, but we need new help too. If there’s duplication we can have an election if needed. Don’t think you need a lot of experience (on the water or off ) to help! We have 11 voting members; all meetings are open to everyone. You must be a member of the WTC to be on the Board. This past year we met about every 2 months; this could be changed by the new Board. We recently updated the website with minutes to the meetings, if you’d like to see what we addressed.
The goal is to get the new Board in place to convene the November 16 meeting. That meeting will begin the planning process for next year’s training.
