I'm very sorry to hear that. I didn't know Dale, but to lose any paddler like that is extremely saddening.
Hopefully this serves as a strong reminder to always check your grab loop, something so easily overlooked, especially by people who have done it so many times.
Many of you might not know Dale by name although you may have seen her often on the Lehigh, Tohickon, Delaware, or at the PCC Pool sessions. She was, I would say in her fifties, and often paddled an open canoe. she had short grey hair, and always had a warm greeting for everyone she knew on the river. I don't ever remember seeing her on the river when she didn't have a big smile on her face. (even swimming the tohickon in 40 degree water)
