The paddling season at the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge ends on September 30th and does not reopen until next spring due to the [bird] migratory season. Thus, we decided to skip work and paddle on Friday, September 19th.
Meet at 9:15 am, Blackwater Wildlife Refuge Visitors Center, Key Wallace Drive, Cambridge, MD
There should be some pretty good birding at Blackwater. Please bring the usual gear, snacks and lunch. We can look for a dinner spot on the way home.
