This is the un-official post for the un-official Valley Falls trip on the Tygart River, August 16'th/17'th.
The important stuff:
What: Valley Falls Waterfall Clinic
Where: Tygart River / Valley Falls
When: August 16'th & 17'th (Probably driving out friday night after work & driving home late sunday afternoon)
Who: Jeff Prycl, owner of Rockey Mountain Kayak, is teaching a waterfall clinic on the 17'th (Sunday). Anyone who is capable of handling class III / IV is welcome to join us.
Why: To not look like newbs the weekend after at Ohio Pyle Falls Fest
This is not an official WTC trip. A couple of us (Me, Steve, Juan?, and Rick?) are going down to learn how to properly run waterfalls. These falls are class III / IV. If anyone wants to carpool, share tent spaces, or coordinate in any way with me/us, let me know. Please do not contact me via email, i get enough as it is. Post here.
Since I just realized that Jeff's clinic is only on Sunday, there is a high likliness we will be running the falls on saturday without instruction. So if you plan on running them, do your homework ahead of time and pray that we can hook up with some experienced paddlers when we get there.
