If we're lucky, the heavy rain forecast on Saturday might fill some rivers like the Muddy or the Tohickon. This isn't a trip announcement yet but reply here if you're interested in a Sunday trip. The Toh in summer would be hard to beat! Dave
I agree! I'll be watching the weather.
Ed
I'm interested... but I don't know what the Tohickon is.
I was thinking the same thing about the Muddy for Sunday. Didn't think about the Toh though. Wouldn't we have to get significant rain for that to run?
Shannon, the Toh is a creek in Bucks County, near Doylestown I believe. It runs twice a year in Nonvember and March with a release. It can also run naturally if there is significant rainfall. Summer runs are rare. Link to Tohickon on AW
Bernie and I were thinking the Toh also. We'll keep an eye out.
I'm up for a Toe run. Maybe hit Scudders on the way home. But as you said, only "if we're lucky".
John
A local trip is somthing I could muster and the Toga would be grand! Keep me posted big guy!
I'm up for the Toh!!! Boy am I ever. Not on a river since the Deerfield I'm parched
Peter
Toh would be great but I'd be happy to settle for the Muddy. Come on rain!
The latest weather forecast has downgraded the rainfall prediction at Pipersville to about 1/2 inch but it could be 1" at the Muddy. Seems less likely the Toh will be running than the Muddy but I'm planning to go somewhere on Sunday. We'll have to look at the gauges at about 6 AM Sunday morning. If you want to be called at that time send me an email with your phone number.

hmmmmmmm...........i heard 4.5 inches
NOAA Forcast looks good to me...Saturday: Periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 78. Breezy, with a east wind 11 to 14 mph increasing to between 22 and 25 mph. Winds could gust as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between three and four inches possible.
OK Hanna baby! Talk Sunday.
Rain or shine, I can not paddle Sunday. Itala has to work and I have Conrad all day to pal around with! If it is not raining we might come out and take pictures and video of you. I'm sure Conrad will through rocks at you as you paddle by too!
