You guys missed an awesome hike today! We drove through a couple of showers on the way up the PA Turnpike but not a drop of rain during the hike. Saw a Kingfisher flying down the creek as Laura was crossing on the cable bridge. Saw one timber rattlesnake  along the trail (first time I've seen a rattler in damp place- they are usually on the rocks sunning). Saw lots off red spotted salamanders, a blue tailed skink and a black snake streched out across the trail. When we got up to the AT, we met a weekend AT hiker who had just seen a Black Bear. Day started off a bit muggy but dried out nicely as the day progressed. Saw two more hikers on the way back on the AT.
